A personal practice
Glyndon is the personal practice of Lyndon Clayton, the UK's most experienced ETFE specialist. We help ambitious teams roof vast, light-filled spaces for a fraction of the weight of glass.
ETFE is a tough, highly translucent foil used as a roofing and cladding material in place of glass — inflated into sealed cushions or tensioned as a single skin. It covers stadium bowls, station concourses, atria and courtyards at roughly a tenth of the weight, which is why it turns up wherever a glass roof would be too heavy, too flat or too fragile.
Three reasons architects choose ETFE.
All nine benefits →01
Lightweight
~5 kg/m² — a fraction of glass. Less structural steel, less carbon.
02
Daylight
Transmits more natural light than glazing. Brighter, healthier interiors.
03
Freedom of form
Curves, freeform geometries and large spans glass cannot reach.

Who I work with
Three questions, one specialist.
Why ETFE
The expert behind the light.
ETFE lets you roof vast, light-filled spaces for a fraction of the weight of glass — opening up forms, spans and daylight that conventional glazing can't reach, while cutting structure, carbon and maintenance.
